Full Name: Yippee Lyre
Age: 29, July 31, 1437 (Leo)
Gender: Male
Species: Unknown type of dog
Residence: The royal guard's quarters inside the King's castle
Personality:
Yippee is a guy who's always wanted to be a knight, so that way he could protect everyone and get credit for doing so. He was never good at the more mentally strenuous jobs or the boring jobs, it was something that had to be filled with action and excitement! He's really quite the nice guy, until one does something that ticks him off a couple of times, or damages him for a few times. He isn't the brightest light bulb in the case, and he knows it, but he doesn't hate himself for it. He's just more of the impulsive type that can forget to do or even completely disregard certain things from time to time. In fact, he uses it to make others seem more impressed about him than they should be, though he doesn't do that too often. He's energetic, but also knows when to keep a cool head and stay focused, (yet the last one's a bit difficult for him).
Likes: Glazed pork roast, ginger ale, cinnamon rolls with extra ground cinnamon, kind and patient people, loyal friends, honest merchants, good tales, and swordsmanship.
Dislikes: cold foods, root beer, gelatin, rude people, backstabbers, crooked salesmen, bad folklore, and axes.
Talent and Abilities:
So, Yippee is genuinely a swordsman, because it is his passion, to do good for everyone, and constantly get better with his own technique with the sword. His skill with a sword is very good, and is only intensified on which type of sword it is, with his best being a broadsword like his Blazing Heart. The legendary sword has also unlocked something deep with Yippee's heart, and it is his own ability to wield fire. Being pyrokinetic, and having it only be enhanced further when he uses Blazing Heart, Yippee can be quite the foe, among with his knowledge and usage of crossbows, cannons, longbows, and javelins. He uses his fire in many unique ways, such as cloaking his hands and legs in fire for melee combat, as a shield from some attacks, as a widespread long ranged attack to perform crowd control, and many more. He can be immune to some types of fire or heat by shielding himself with his own, or absorbing it to heal himself. Though generally seen as a clumsy buffoon, he is the smartest of the trio and his plans may work, but not always.
Weaknesses:
However, Yippee does have some limits as well, like how he isn't exactly the best at fighting someone who is very experienced with hand-to-hand combat, even when he uses his signature weapon. That is because with weapons, they have weight and can be telegraphed, but with a swift fighter using only their body, it makes him too slow unless he goes bare handed too. He can't manipulate light energy and convert it into heat for himself, so he'll have to rely on his own powers to stand against his opponent. Water can sometimes make Yippee unable to use his or weaken his fire powers. He is still clumsy, and can get caught off guard or topic, resulting in a chance for his attacker to strike. With that, his plans generally fail, and can sometimes make the situation even worse, so they aren't 100% reliable. Best not to invite Yippee to a party where a lot of alcoholic beverages lie, for he can get... very assertive when he's drunk. He doesn't like using axes or shields because they feel too heavy for him.

Yippee is a dog, one that has a medium small black tail (He should have it officially, but that's neither here nor there.). His hair and fur color is pink, and his eyes are light green. Yippee wears a knight's uniform for the King's guard, which is a simple one. He also has extended maroon gloves, a musketeer hat with a large unique attachment on it, a brown belt, and black boots. He carries a lot of weapons, but his most precious and suited weapon for him is his legendary broadsword, Blazing Heart.
History:
As a young pup, Yippee was part of a normal family from the Arthurian Age, the son of a father and mother, and a younger brother and sister. They played together happily in their village, and they would always gawk at the knights that passed through their home village. After a few more years of doing this and going through daily chores, Yippee took it upon himself to be a great knight one day, and be known as the best knight that ever graced the Earth. Telling his father what his goal was, Yippee continued to think night and day about what it would be like to be a knight, how would a day play out, and how risky the occupation would be. Through some networking, his father got him a position as a pupil to one of the knights of the town nearby, where a huge castle was standing tall. With this, the now teenage dog left home to go live up to his aspirations and career. Under the knight's care and watchful eye, Yippee trained to learn the way of the sword and other weapons at the time, but just couldn't handle the axes.
He bonded with his teacher, and began to care for them, but one day they were out to fight in a major battle, one to protect the kingdom against another wanting to overtake it. It was this day that the knight that Yippee was being trained to died, in an honorable way, and ultimately saved the kingdom from the attack. With him rushing out to the battlefield to clutch his teacher's body only to feel that they had died before he even had a chance to hear the other's last words of wisdom. Sobbing now with sadness and the feeling of emptiness in his heart, he attended the call of those who had fought bravely but did not survive to tell the tale. He took the death of his teacher as a part of his new goal to avenge their death, heading out with his broadsword, bow, quiver of arrows, and his daggers to repay the debt. Going through a long journey, he met many strange people and encountered challenging situations for him to overcome. Eventually he was able to take his revenge on the kingdom that assaulted the one he used to live in, and attempting to take them on as only one person was a foolish thought indeed, as he had to retreat away, having taken out many of their forces, but barely able to stand properly as well. Returning to the kingdom, he was notified that the king had requested him since he was one of the last trainees left, and needed to greatly replenish his army. At the ceremony, Yippee was ecstatic, even letting out a few happy outbursts during it, but he was finally given knighthood. He celebrated that night with his family, and it truly had been quite a long time since he had seen them.
Yippee then set off one day to go on a little adventure, and found himself being near the shrine of one of the fabled weapons that lay scattered across the planet. He went off to go try his luck at acquiring a blade that could rival the famous Excalibur itself, Blazing Heart. Stationed in the depths of a chamber that had been guarded for years to stop those unwary of the legend from incinerating their selves. He had to prove his worth to those that guarded the weapon, and once he fulfilled the task, he was given a chance to see if he had what it takes to wield the blade. Hesitating before grabbing the handle of the sword, Yippee knew this would be a true test, since the sword would have to ultimately choose him to be its companion. He kept tugging at the blade, and eventually he freed the sword from its shrine. Happy with his sudden success, he was also feeling something, as if his heart had been freed of something. At first, it was unusual, but then that feeling was nothing like when he began to eject fire from his mouth. Closing it shut quickly, and darting his eyes left and right to see if anyone had caught glimpse of what he just did, Yippee took the sword, and left the shrine, on his way back home. However, the Kingdom that he called his second home was now taken over by the kingdom that killed his teacher. Shocked from all of this, he headed for the village where he thought his family should still be, but it was burned down. Barely any remnants of his family's possessions there, he knew he had to go and get help from another kingdom to finish the job he started long ago, but where?
He went back on the road to obtain a map and any information about the closest kingdom next to the one that took his home. Upon hearing good news, he traveled to one where he requested to meet the king. The King listened to his plea, and came to agree to Yippee's request, if he were to become royal guard after the incident was over. Yippee accepted it along with saying that he would keep his title as knight and all of the privileges that came with it. The deal was made, and so Yippee was integrated into the King's army, and onward they marched to battle the other kingdom. It was a brutal fight, arrows, cannonballs, halberds, and lances flying through the air, swords, axes, maces, clubs, and spears striking metal, flesh, and bone. In time, Yippee, had realized that the ability to control fire was something he could use to his advantage, and fought the king of the kingdom for not only territory, but for avenging all those who fell to the king. An intense battle began, with swords striking swords, and nicks dirtying up both of their bodies, until the king's attempted to block his attack, in which Yippee's blade cut straight through his like cheese. The flames disappeared, so after saying a few words and going through a new revelation, Yippee ended the king's life, and finally Yippee felt at peace. He set up the flag that signaled that they had won, and converted those who were willing to come into their new kingdom, and let the other's leave as oppose to killing them. He figured that they would do what he did, but he was prepared, and he wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Returning to his new home, he became part of the royal guard and met two others, Yappee, and Yahooey. They all weren't so buddy buddy at first, but as time grew on, they learned to accept each other. The contrast of his fire abilities to their unique abilities was another thing he had to conquer, but as long as no one made him guzzle or dowsed him with water while he was asleep, he knew he'd be fine.
Anything Else?: www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlSW8-dEwNk&t=91s (Yippee's theme) Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon Medley - Super Smash Bros Brawl
Yippee is the type to take orders, but even he will question them when he knows that they may not be favorable to uphold one's honor. He's managed to go toe-to-toe with dragons, particularly ones that don't nullify his attribute of fire, and traditional fire dragons are the ones he has the most experience with. Unsure about his plans after he is unable to do battle anymore, Yippee wonders about who he should settle down with, and preferably would it be allowed in his time? Blazing Heart was created from the soul of one being that burned so bright, it would only allow those who had a flame akin to its to wield it. All others would perish in flames, not only as a defensive mechanism/test, but as a way to cleanse itself of any impurity that would have stayed on it. Similar to Excalibur, Blazing Heart has no sheath to come with it, so Yippee had one made for it. He has an interesting relationship with the King, as he did go to him when he was in need of closure from the other kingdom, and thinks of him like a good friend, and kinda like a father figure, even if he is more of one than the King himself. That's why he and the King seem to share the most dialogue with each other and seem to be weird friends.
