Applying for the role of Quick Draw McGraw
Full Name:
Sheriff Quick Draw McGraw
Age:
25 years old. Born on September 19th
Gender:
Male
Species:
Anthropomorphic Camarillo White Horse
Residence:
Scary Prairie, an old west town located in the Nevada Desert.
Personality:
Quick Draw Mcgraw is as honest as they come with a strong sense of justice and sense of right. Unfortunately, that sense of right is also paired with a rather slow wit. While well meaning and out to do what's right, Quick Draw is gullible, naive, is trusting to a fault. He trust everybody, good and bad, to keep to their word and tell the truth, which isn't always the best policy when hunting down criminals. Despite the wild west being filled to the brim with more bank robbers than a cop car has donuts, Quick Draw keeps high spirits and a good sense of optimism. He's always sure that good will come over bad, and even though he's been shown otherwise, he's positive that all folks have some sense of decency in them-even if he thinks that those no-good pole cats have less then others.
Likes:
Baba Looey, his faithful sidekick and right hand burro! The little guy is his best friend and deputy. Despite almost never listening to his more thoughtful advice, Quick Draw barrels into trouble knowing that his deputy is right behind him.
Western Movies, TV Shows, Dime Novels-just westerns in general. Quick Draw took up his job as a sheriff almost entirely because of those old cowboy stories he grew up listening to. Where the hero has a showdown with the villain at high noon and always wins.
Gun Collecting. He only uses them for self defense and for trick shots-cause only a bad guy would use them carelessly. But still, he does like to collect them and has a mighty nice collection of old firing arms. Even if he is prone to misfiring them-usually in his own face.
Dislikes:
Mishaps with his guns. As mentioned above, by the rule of funny, his guns tend to do just as much harm to him as they are to help. Getting stuck in their holsters, not firing until pointed at HIS face, and accidentally putting the bullet in 'backwards'.
Bad Guys. Why else go out of your way to be a sheriff and chase after them? No evil will escape his sight!
Anything that makes him think others don't see him as smart. He'll be doin' the thin'in 'round here, and doooooon't you forget it!
Talent and Abilities:
Gun Handling. He's not called 'Quick Draw' for nothin'! He might be prone to a few hiccups here or there, but he truly is the fastest gun in the west, and don't you forget it!
Stamina. It takes a lot of stamina to take bullets to the face and walk them off, as well as to fall into bear traps and forget to scream in pain. Quick Draw can take a lot of punishment and power through it if it means saving the day.
Athletic. You wouldn't guess it from an anthropomorphic horse, but he's actually pretty quick on his feet and agile.
He's got a natural affinity for guitars. Not that he knows how to play, more so in how he can use one as a club.
Weaknesses:
As mentioned above, Quick Draw is very trusting to a fault. Even if your the lowest of the low, he will expect you to honor the code of the west and duel him with honor.
As also mentioned above: unlike his draw, Quick Draw is pretty slow witted. It's easy to fool him and have him stumble into his own traps. He's far from stupid, but he's not sharpest knife in the drawer.
Self confidence. Although he may not wear it on his sleeves, he hates it when others talk down to him and will double his efforts to compensate for his faults. Just beware that these efforts will more often then not blow up in his face.
He may claim to be modest, but he's pretty proud of himself. And, to be fair, he does have a few victories under his belt. After all, he took on notorious outlaws like Tombstone Jones and Grumble Weed! Give him a little flattery and you ca get him to do almost anything.
Appearance:
History:
Quick Draw McGraw was born deep in west, living in Scary Prairie with his mother, Ma Mcgraw. His father, Pa Mcgraw, was a lawman of the west-in fact, many would've said he was one of the best. Unfortunately, the ol' Mcgraw Sheriff was shot down by an outlaw long before Quick Draw was old enough to hold his own bottle. Even though he never met his father himself, his mother raised him o the stories of his many adventures and how he was as lawful as they came, being a big inspiration for Quick Draw to become a sheriff himself. He practiced his now famous 'Quick Draw' until he was quick enough to throw a can in the air and shoot it back down in a second. He's studied the law and has everything he needs to make an official arrest of any sorry snakes who try to break the law when Quick Draw is in town!
Anything Else?
Quick Draw talks with an exaggerated southern draw that's easily noticed.
Although there's no official names for Quick Draw's mother, just written down as 'Ma Mcgraw' and no father is even listed, I'd propose their official names-at least for the sake of the RP- be Crack Shot Mcgraw for the father and Quick Foot Mcgraw for the mother.
'Scary Prairie', the name of Quickdraw's hometown, is actually the name of his debut episode. But since Scary Prairie sounds perfect for a Wild West town, I decided to make that where he's from since the cartoon never gives him any sort of home or town.
